Legendary Japanese rock band SPYAIR has been confirmed as the opening theme performer for the anime The Exiled Heavy Knight Knows How to Game the System. The series will air in two back-to-back cours in the Super Animeism TURBO block on TBS and MBS at 00:26 JST, beginning July 3.
Story
At the Divine Blessing ceremony, Elma Edvan, a 15-year-old from a Sword Saint family, draws the Heavy Knight class — widely regarded as worthless, full of poor stats and useless skills. Worse, he is branded a failure and a disgrace, stripped of his right to the family headship, and exiled.
Yet Elma knows what others do not: this world is the very game he played in his previous life, and the Heavy Knight is in fact the strongest class in that game. He sets out to apply his past-life knowledge to strategize his way through his new world with maximum efficiency.

About the Source Material
The original web novel by Nekoko was first posted on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in April 2021, before Kodansha published the first print volume with illustrations by Jaian in June 2022. All 4 volumes are available, with the most recent released on November 26 last year.
The manga adaptation by Brocco Lee launched on Kodansha’s Yanmaga website in February 2022 and later moved to Young Magazine in September 2024. Currently at 17 volumes, with the latest released on April 6 this year. Kodansha also distributes the English manga digitally via K MANGA.
