SuperGroupies has unveiled three new collaboration items based on the beloved anime Nintama Rantaro (忍たま乱太郎): an outerwear jacket and a 2-way tote bag modeled after freelance ninja Yamada Rikichi, and a tote bag inspired by Doi Hansuke, the homeroom teacher of first-year Class Ha.
About Nintama Rantaro
Nintama Rantaro is an anime adaptation of the ninja comedy manga by Amako Sohei, following the daily misadventures of young ninja students Rantaro, Shinbe, and Kirimaru as they train at Ninjutsu Academy. The TV series has been airing since 1993 and has earned fans across generations.
Most recently, the theatrical film Gekijouban Nintama Rantaro: Dokutake Ninja-tai Saikyou no Gunshi opened on December 20, 2024. Adapted from a popular novel, the story begins when Doi-sensei sets out to duel Tasogaretoki ninja Sonomitakanamon and subsequently vanishes — delivering a more serious narrative tone than the TV series.
The Three Collaboration Items
Yamada Rikichi Model Outer
Inspired by Rikichi’s ninja attire, this mountain parka in a subdued green features stitching on the left sleeve evoking a matchlock gun’s rope. Rolling up either sleeve reveals hidden motifs — a kakugyo shogi piece on one side and a deer figurine on the other. An interior drawstring allows waist adjustment. Available in ladies’ sizes S, M, and L. Price: ¥24,200 (tax included).
Yamada Rikichi Model 2-Way Tote Bag
A roomy bag capable of fitting A4-sized documents, with a fresh blue-toned interior reflecting Rikichi’s casual wardrobe. The exterior features a special design centered on flowers associated with his early-summer birthday, accented with motifs of swords, matchlock guns, and more. Price: ¥20,900 (tax included).
Doi Hansuke Model Tote Bag
A sleek black tote bag evoking Doi-sensei’s ninja uniform — perfect for daily commutes or school runs. Lifting the flap reveals an embossed message: “IKUSATOHA MOTTAINAI MONOSA.” (“War is such a waste.”). The navy-toned interior shares its design language with previous Doi Hansuke collaboration items and is packed with motifs including an attendance register, chalk, shuriken, round glasses, and dango. Price: ¥23,100 (tax included).
