Takahashi Rie, a voice actress and artist who has long been active in the industry, announced her official move to a new label within the Sony Music network. The announcement was made during the second night of her solo concert series “A Rie in Wonderland,” held on May 16.
Beyond her voice acting work, Takahashi continues to produce music as a solo artist, including her role as the lead vocalist of the voice actress unit Earphones (イヤホンズ), making her one of the most versatile and prominent figures in the voice actress entertainment scene.
3rd EP “黄身加熱中 (Kimi Kanetsu-chuu)” to Release on July 15
At the same concert, Takahashi also announced that her 3rd EP “黄身加熱中 (Kimi Kanetsu-chuu)” will go on sale on July 15. She described the production of this release as feeling close to a self-produced work, and said it represents the final chapter of her indie era before she fully steps into this new stage.
During the MC segment of the concert, she expressed her gratitude to fans who have always supported her music, saying: “The energy from everyone who came to tonight’s show has carried me to new connections and new opportunities,” while conveying her strong determination to continue moving forward on this new path.
New Work Under New Label Already in Production
Takahashi also revealed that she is already in the process of producing new material under her new Sony Music label, though no further details have been disclosed. Even so, the news has already generated enormous excitement among her fans.
