The TV anime 「天幕のジャードゥーガル」(Tenmaku no Jadugal), adapted from the manga by Tomato Soup serialized in Souffle magazine from Akita Shoten, has officially revealed its Main Visual and second PV, along with additional cast announcements and a confirmed broadcast schedule.

Main Visual and Second PV

The Main Visual, illustrated by Yoshida Kenji, the character designer and animation director, depicts Sitara and Doregene standing together on the vast Mongolian steppe, with a herd of animals visible behind them.

The second PV portrays the beginning of a great revenge epic — Sitara and Doregene bound together by their shared hatred of the Mongol Empire, joining forces to bring it down from within. It also reveals that the opening theme is a new song titled 「Stella」 by SEKAI NO OWARI, with a portion of the track featured in the PV.

Newly Announced Cast

• Doregene — voiced by Koshimizu Ami (小清水亜美): The sixth prince of Ogedei, third son of the Emperor; a man who harbors deep-seated resentment toward the Mongol Empire and resolves to fight alongside Sitara.
• Ogedei — voiced by Shimono Hiro (下野紘): Third son of the Emperor; a gentle, broad-minded, and elegant man who aspires to a glorious future for the empire.
• Chagatai — voiced by Namikawa Daisuke (浪川大輔): Second son of the Emperor; strict in enforcing laws and rules, yet with genuine compassion for his subjects and the people.
• Jochi — voiced by Nojima Kenji (野島健児): The eldest son of the Emperor; quiet and gentle in disposition.

Koshimizu Ami commented on taking the role of Doregene:

「I want to portray this character as a human being who holds delicate emotions deep inside — not merely a terrifying warlord.」

Story Summary

The story follows Sitara, a young woman who has lost everything and is taken as a concubine by Tolui, fourth son of the Emperor of the Mongol Empire. Using her wit and a gift for divination, she infiltrates the imperial family in order to destroy the empire from within.

Broadcast Schedule

The anime premieres Saturday, July 4, 2026 on the TV Asahi network nationwide and BS Asahi at 23:30 every Saturday. The first episode will be a special two-episode consecutive broadcast starting at 23:00.

Special “World Fastest Screening” Event

On June 13, 2026, a special advance screening will be held at United Cinemas AquaCity Odaiba in Tokyo, starting at 14:30. Tickets are priced at 3,000 yen (all seats reserved, including wheelchair spaces) and go on sale via e+ starting May 30 at 10:00. Voice actors participating in the talk show will include Sekine Akiyoshi (Sitara), Koshimizu Ami (Doregene), Saito Jun (Muhammad), Shimono Hiro (Ogedei), and Suzuki Ryota (Tolui).
