The TV anime production team for 「転生ゴブリンだけど質問ある？」(Tensei Goblin dakedo Shitsumon aru? / I Was Reborn as a Goblin, But I Have Questions), based on the original manga by Miki Nazuna and Araki Zaoi, has revealed four additional voice actors along with details about the new characters they will portray.
New Voice Actors and Characters
- Ginga Banjo — voices Symon, the emperor of the kingdom and lord of the city of Orerong. A man of immense governing authority who is respected even by neighboring nations, but whose name has become entwined in scandal involving a particular woman.
- Suzushiro Sayumi — voices Erene, the grown eldest daughter of the three elven siblings. Her reserved personality led her to once serve as Crore’s ally in the era of the Demon King, but an illness that clouded her memory of living caused her to wander until she encountered Akira.
- M·A·O — voices Dike, the kind-hearted middle daughter who watches over both her older and younger sisters, who share the same illness. Bound to Akira who saved both their lives, she has a polished and graceful manner yet harbors an endearingly mischievous side.
- Kuramochi Wakana — voices Unomie, the youngest sister who adores her eldest sister with all her heart. She once fell ill just like Erene and carries herself in a way reminiscent of a love-struck girl (tsundere), because she secretly admires Dike.
Comments from the Voice Actors
Ginga Banjo commented enthusiastically that recording sessions always wrap up very quickly with the Goblin team, reflecting just how fun the story is, and invited fans to look forward to experiencing that feeling for themselves.
Suzushiro Sayumi described Erene as an elf who has lost her will to live and expressed a desire for viewers to follow how she will change after meeting Akira. She also promised that this anime will continue to broaden perspectives on “goblins” for years to come.
M·A·O said she is moved by a story that poses questions about what is truly valuable in life through the eyes of a young goblin, and praised the adorable expressions Dike shows when thinking of Akira.
Kuramochi Wakana shared that she was deeply struck by how experiences drawn from human life become powerful weapons in a goblin’s battles, and sees Unomie as a character who adds color to the story with her charm and lovable tsundere nature.
Synopsis
A salaryman who had long been neglecting himself dies shielding a child on the road and is reborn as a goblin in a fantasy world. The goblin is only 7 days old, but with a special skill — “80 Years of Human Experience” — granted at birth, Akira is able to inherit various skills from previously deceased goblins. His story thus becomes an unstoppable dark-fantasy battle saga.
