Fans of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensura) received a double announcement: Season 4 Cour 3 is confirmed to air in July 2027, and the official spin-off Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken: Clayman REVENGE will receive a TV anime adaptation premiering in April 2027.
Both announcements were made through a special collaboration video revealed immediately after the Season 4 Cour 2 finale, which aired on September 25. Produced by studio Eight Bit, the video features Clayman suddenly appearing before Rimuru and the Wisdom King, showcasing a comedic exchange between the two characters that was absent from the Season 2 anime.
About Clayman REVENGE
Clayman REVENGE is an official Tensura spin-off manga serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Sirius, drawn by Kajika Ko based on the original story by Fuse. The series stars Clayman — the Demon Lord and Marionette Master who rules the puppet nation of Jistarve, and whose ambitions were crushed by Rimuru in the main story — as he time-leaps 70 years into the past, exploring a “story that might have been.” A teaser visual for the anime was also released alongside the announcement.

The concept was simple: Clayman with a serious face scolding his subordinates, while the wine glass in his hand trembles and spills a small stain on his pristine white suit, and he desperately tries to hide his embarrassment. That alone is funny. I originally planned just two volumes, but thanks to the fans’ warm reception, I want to keep going as long as I can. I hope everyone on the team — creators and animation staff alike — enjoys making this together.”
Kajika Ko (manga artist): “Just being able to draw a Tensura spin-off was already a miracle to me, so when I heard it was getting an anime, it didn’t feel real for a while. Setting Materials Books
Additionally, the second and third volumes of the Anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime Setting Materials Collection have been announced, with pre-orders now open at the Bandai Namco Filmworks official online store, A-on STORE. Volume 2 covers Season 2 along with the OAD and “Coleus no Yume,” while Volume 3 covers Season 3 and the theatrical film Scarlet Bond, including character design sheets and background art.
