The TV anime adaptation of The Fable (ザ・ファブル) has officially announced that its second season will begin airing on Nippon TV in January 2027. A teaser PV brimming with dark, tense atmosphere has also been released alongside the announcement.
About the Series
The Fable is based on the manga by Katsuhisa Minami, serialized in Kodansha’s Young Magazine. The story follows an invincible hitman known as “Fable,” who is ordered by his boss to live a normal life for one year — killing no one. The franchise has previously been adapted into two live-action films, and the first anime season aired in 2024. Season 2 will adapt the “Yamaoka Arc.”
Teaser PV Highlights
The newly released teaser PV showcases protagonist Sato Akira alongside Sato Yoko, Ebihara Goshi, the Boss, and Hamada Hiroshi, all set against a brooding backdrop. A key scene features Yoko warning Akira: “I saw someone from the organization. A man named Yamaoka.” The PV also glimpses Sunagawa operating in the shadows, and Matsu wearing a visibly frightened expression.
