Kadokawa officially announced that the Korean animated series Tomb Raider King (Japanese title: Tokutsuou) will premiere on July 8. Alongside the announcement, two new character promo videos were released for fans to enjoy.
New Character Videos
Both clips introduce the character Irene Holten, voiced by Saori Hayami, and Kotaro Yanagi, voiced by Miyu Irino.
Broadcast Schedule and World Premiere Screening
The series will air in Japan with Japanese dubbing on Fuji TV‘s B8station block at 25:15 JST (equivalent to 1:15 AM on July 9), beginning July 8.
In addition, a world premiere screening of the first two episodes will be held on June 13 at the Science Hall of the National Museum of Nature and Science in Tokyo, with a simultaneous livestream on the Kadokawa Anime YouTube channel, including a live greeting from the voice cast on stage (viewable in Japan only).

The series is produced by studio STUDIO EEK, directed by Seungwook Woo, who also serves as series director alongside Hyeonjeong Lee for character design and animation direction. Hyeongjun Ho shares the same role. Music is composed by Juyoung Kim.

Story Summary
One day, ancient tombs began appearing all over the world. Inside each, relics grant special powers to their owners. Juheon Seo, a professional excavator and tomb raider, is hired by a villain and nearly loses his life to the power of one such relic — but then finds himself thrown back in time 15 years before the tombs and those relics ever appeared. Armed with knowledge of the future, how will he forge his path to becoming the King of Tomb Raiders?
Source Material
This series is adapted from the webtoon of the same name by artist 3B2S, writer Yuns (REDICE STUDIO), original story by SAN.G, and character design by P-crush. The English-language webtoon is distributed via Tapas, and a print edition is published by Ize Press, with Volume 14 released on April 21. SAN.G’s original novel version is also available in English on Tapas, Wuxiaworld, and Wattpad.
