ภาพโปรโมตภาพยนตร์Anime Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun: Ukkari Detekita Uchūjin o Sagase!

Kadokawa announced that Yūji Nishimura‘s web manga Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun (Space Academy) is getting an anime film. Titled Uchū Nanchara Kotetsu-kun: Ukkari Detekita Uchūjin o Sagase! (Space Academy: Find the Aliens Who Accidentally Came Out!), the film is set to open in Japan on September 11.

Story

The film follows space pilot trainee Kotetsu, who catches wind of rumors about the possible existence of aliens and rallies the entire academy to track them down. Notably, the film will blend traditional anime footage with real footage of space.

About the Manga and TV Anime

Nishimura launched the manga on August 6, 2019, shortly after the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, posting a new chapter every other Monday for free. The series follows Kotetsu-kun and his friends at the Animal Space Academy as they pursue their dreams of reaching the stars.

The TV anime’s first season premiered on NHK Educational in April 2021 and ran through March 2022. A second season followed in April 2022, concluding in February 2023.
