Story Synopsis
In an era where spy networks pervade every corner of the land, Chloe is a master spy skilled in disguise and high-level combat, capable of flawlessly carrying out even the most difficult missions. But when she is betrayed by her superior, she decides to fake her own death and begin a new life as Victoria, an ordinary commoner in the small kingdom of Ashberry, hoping to live quietly.
That peace does not last long. As she becomes entangled with various people, skills honed from her former spy days prove unexpectedly valuable in this new land. At the same time, princes and others take notice of Victoria’s abilities, and the shadows of intrigue begin to close in on the girl with many faces…
Source Material
Syuu began publishing this story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in November 2021, with the latest update in February 2022. Kadokawa published the third volume of the light novel edition in January 2024.
A manga adaptation by Komo Ushino has also been serialized on Kadokawa’s Flos Comic website since November 2022, with the compiled seventh volume going on sale on February 16 of last year. Both the light novel and manga editions are published in English by Yen Press.
