FANCL’s functional eye-supplement brand Enkhin has kicked off a special collaboration campaign with the production team behind the TV anime Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries). The initiative invites fans to post encouraging messages on X (formerly Twitter), while the campaign page features exclusive interviews with production staff and a special message looking ahead to Season 3.
About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a wildly popular imperial-court mystery series with cumulative sales exceeding 45 million copies. The story follows Maomao, a young woman serving as a poison-taster in the inner palace, who uses her sharp pharmacological knowledge to unravel a string of baffling cases. Its blend of sharp-witted heroine, genuine mystery plotting, and richly atmospheric world-building has earned it fans across all age groups.
The TV anime marked its second broadcast anniversary on October 22, 2025, alongside announcements of both Season 3 and the franchise’s first theatrical film. Season 3 is scheduled to air from October 2026 in a split two-cour format, while the film Gekijouban Kusuriya no Hitorigoto: Bouki no Hihou is set to open on December 11, 2026.
Why Enkhin Chose the Kusuriya Production Team
A FANCL survey on eye-related concerns found that roughly one in three people today have given up something they love because of eye strain. Enkhin, a brand dedicated to supporting vision so people can enjoy everyday life to the fullest, turned its attention to animators and creators who spend long hours straining their eyes in production. The resulting campaign, themed “We Want to Cheer on the Kusuriya Production Team!”, supports the crew as they work toward both Season 3 and the theatrical release. As part of the initiative, the production team has already received supplies of Enkhin Premium to use on set.
