Bandai Namco Filmworks has released the main trailer and main visual for Nijiiro no Rinne (Rainbow-Colored Reincarnation), the seventh film in Yamato yo Towa ni: Rebel 3199 (known internationally as Star Blazers: Be Forever Yamato — Rebel 3199), the latest entry in the long-running Space Battleship Yamato remake franchise.
Character designer Nobuteru Yūki illustrated the main visual. The film is set to open in Japanese theaters on October 30. Crunchyroll is streaming the series internationally under the title Star Blazers: Space Battleship Yamato 3199.
Film Series Timeline
Rebel 3199 is structured as a series of seven theatrical films. Here is how the run has unfolded:
- Film 1 — Kuro no Shinryaku (Dark Invasion): Opened July 2024; earned 58,863,050 yen (approx. US$376,419) in its opening three days.
- Film 2 — Sekijitsu no Shutsugeki (The Assault of the Burning Sun): Premiered November 2024; earned 64,118,600 yen (approx. US$410,028) in its first three days. Megumi Han took over the role of Sasha — a part originally voiced by her mother Keiko Han in the classic Be Forever Yamato film. Retail Blu-ray Disc and DVD shipped in January 2025.
- Film 3 — Gunjō no Asteroid (Ultramarine Asteroid): Opened April 2025.
- Film 4 — Mizuiro no Sasha (The Aqua Sasha): Opened October 2025; Blu-ray Disc and DVD shipped December 2025.
- Film 5: Opened February 20.
- Film 6 — Aoi Meikyū (Blue Labyrinth): Opened June 26. In this chapter, the Yamato passes through a space-time node that transports the main characters to Tokyo in the year 2026, the present-day Reiwa era.
- Film 7 — Nijiiro no Rinne: Opens October 30.
Staff
Naomichi Yamato — whose previous credits include episode direction on From the New World and Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans — is directing. Harutoshi Fukui serves as supervising director in addition to his roles as head writer and scriptwriter, with Hideki Oka co-writing the script.

The late producer Yoshinobu Nishizaki is credited for the original work, while his son Shōji Nishizaki serves as chief production supervisor and copyright chief supervisor.
Series Background
Rebel 3199 is a direct sequel to Uchū Senkan Yamato 2205: Aratanaru Tabidachi — Kōshō -STASHA- (Space Battleship Yamato 2205: The New Voyage Part II: Stasha), which opened in Japan in February 2022.
