The production team behind Youjo Senki II (幼女戦記II) has released the second main promotional video for the upcoming anime series. The PV focuses on Imperial Army generals Zettour and Rudersdorf, and also introduces a new character named Calandre, with Eiji Hanawa announced as the voice actor for the role.
OP and ED Themes Unveiled
Alongside the PV, both theme songs have been officially revealed. The opening theme, “Why? RED induction,” is performed by MYTH & ROID, while the ending theme, “Weiter! Weiter!,” is sung by Aoi Yuuki in character as Tanya Degurechaff. Both tracks will be available on digital music platforms from July 15, 2026 at midnight (JST). The jacket artwork for “Weiter! Weiter!” has also been revealed.
Sound producer Masayuki Nakano (BOOM BOOM SATELLITES / THE SPELLBOUND), who handled the production of the ending theme, shared the following comment:
“I created this track with images of the battlefield’s mercilessness and the faint hope remaining in humanity. In a world gripped by a sense of powerlessness in the face of war and anxiety about where we are all headed, I believe we’ve made music that truly resonates. I drew great strength from the overwhelming performance of Aoi Yuuki, who plays Tanya Degurechaff — her singing was extraordinary. I hope the ED theme ‘Weiter! Weiter!’ powerfully draws everyone into the world of Youjo Senki.”
Special Broadcast Commemorating the Premiere
A special programme titled “Youjo Senki II Broadcast Start Commemorative Special” — an analytical deep-dive into the world of Youjo Senki — will air on AT-X on July 11, 2026, followed by a stream on YouTube on July 12, 2026.
Story
Youjo Senki follows Tanya Degurechaff, a young girl with exceptional military talent who fights to survive on the front lines of war. In this second season, Tanya is appointed commander of the newly formed Salamander Combat Group and is once again thrust into fierce battle.
