About the Work
Youkoso Jitsuryoku Shijou Shugi no Kyoushitsu, often shortened by fans to よう実 (Youjitsu), is a school drama light novel series written by Shogo Kinugasa and published under KADOKAWA’s MF Bunko J label. The series has surpassed 11.1 million copies in circulation, including e-books.
The story takes place at Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, an institution that values ability above all else and grants special privileges only to students with excellent results. It follows Kiyotaka Ayanokoji and his classmates in Class D, a group viewed as troublemakers, as they struggle within the school’s ruthless system.
Hyakkiyakou-Themed POP UP SHOP
The event ようこそ実力至上主義の教室へ 百鬼夜行ver. POP UP SHOP in あみあみ will be held at the Amiami Akihabara Radio Kaikan event space from June 6 to 21, 2026. The event uses newly drawn illustrations designed around the “Hyakkiyakou” theme, with characters such as Ayanokoji, Nanase, and Horikita transformed into creatures from Japanese legend, including foxes, oni, and more.
