The TV anime series Yuri!!! on ICE is approaching its 10th year since first airing in October 2016 on TV Asahi and other stations. To celebrate the milestone, the staff has unveiled a newly drawn 10th anniversary visual and announced plans for a limited Blu-ray & CD BOX and a major exhibition to be held this winter.

About Yuri!!! on ICE

The series originated from a concept by Mitsurou Kubo and Sayo Yamamoto and was produced by MAPPA. It depicts male figure skaters competing in the Grand Prix Series, with renowned choreographer Kenji Miyamoto, who has created programs for many real athletes, designing the skating routines for every character. The series is known for realistic skating, vivid camera work, and a sense of motion that cannot be seen in actual competition, earning praise from viewers around the world.

The story centers on Yuuri Katsuki, a Japanese figure skater making his return under the coaching of five-time consecutive world champion Viktor Nikiforov, amid a Grand Prix Series filled with talented rivals.

10th Anniversary Visual

The special visual was drawn by series character designer Tadashi Hiramatsu. It gathers the six main skaters who competed in the Grand Prix Final: Yuuri Katsuki, Yuri Plisetsky, Otabek Altin, Christophe Giacometti, Jean-Jacques Leroy, and Phichit Chulanont, along with Yuuri’s coach Viktor Nikiforov.

The background depicts the Free Skating portion of the Grand Prix Final, expressing the emotions of each skater at their most decisive moment on the ice, from self-discovery and competitive fire to the love they wish to convey.

10th Anniversary Blu-ray & CD BOX

Alongside the visual reveal, the staff announced the limited-edition “Yuri!!! on ICE” 10th Anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray & CD BOX. The box will use the 10th anniversary visual as its design and is scheduled for release on December 23, 2026. The price is 38,000 yen before tax / 41,800 yen including tax.

A major highlight of the BOX is the new special skating footage by Stephane Lambiel, silver medalist at the 2006 Turin Winter Olympics and former coach of Shoma Uno. Lambiel also appeared in the anime as himself, reporting from the event. His return marks a special collaboration that fans have waited 10 years to see.

Major Exhibition and Other Events

A major exhibition has also been announced for this winter, with details to be revealed later.

Fans attending “Taiyou Life Presents Fantasy on Ice 2026 in MAKUHARI” at Makuhari Event Hall on May 30-31 will receive a 10th anniversary sticker (55 mm in diameter) while supplies last. Distribution begins when doors open and continues until before the performance starts, limited to one per ticket holder. Posters featuring the 10th anniversary visual will also be displayed inside the venue.
