The TV anime Yuri!!! on ICE is approaching its 10th anniversary since its original broadcast in 2016. The production team has unveiled a new 10th anniversary commemorative visual drawn by Hiramitsu Tadashi, the series’ character designer, and has also announced that a large-scale exhibition event will be held this coming winter.
10th Anniversary Visual
Yuri!!! on ICE is an original anime that aired between October and December 2016, created by Kubo Mitsurou, Yamamoto Sayo, and studio MAPPA. The new commemorative visual features the main characters competing in the Grand Prix Final — Katsuki Yuuri, Yuri Plisetsky, Otabek Altin, Christophe Giacometti, Jean-Jacques Leroy, and Phichit Chulanont — as well as Viktor Nikiforov, Yuuri’s coach and five-time consecutive world champion. The scene depicted is the Free Skating segment of the Grand Prix Final, capturing the emotion and energy of each skater through their facial expressions and body movements.
Further details about the large-scale winter exhibition will be announced at a later date.
Limited-Edition Blu-ray & CD BOX — On Sale December 23
A limited-edition 「Yuri!!! on ICE 10th anniversary SPECIAL Blu-ray & CD BOX 数量限定版」 has also been announced, going on sale on December 23. The set includes 4 Blu-ray discs and 5 CDs, housed in a special box featuring the 10th anniversary visual drawn by Hiramitsu Tadashi.
