The animated film 『新劇場版☆ケロロ軍曹 復活して速攻地球滅亡の危機であります！』 (Shingekijoban Keroro Gunso: Fukkatsu shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki de Arimasu!), the first new Keroro Gunso theatrical feature in 16 years, is scheduled to open across Japan on June 26, 2026. A wave of special information has now been revealed, including a film clip featuring Kidou Senshi Gundam (Mobile Suit Gundam) joining the battle, collaboration artwork by two legendary artists, and news of special plastic model releases.

Keroro and Gundam: First Official Collaboration in 22 Years

Keroro Gunso is a comedy manga by Mine Yoshizaki that has been serialized in Monthly Shonen Ace for 27 years. The story follows an alien invasion unit led by Sergeant Keroro, who comes to Earth and becomes entangled with humans in unexpected ways. The series became a social phenomenon in the 2000s through its TV anime, flash animation, and five theatrical films. This latest film is being produced as part of the anime’s 20th anniversary project, following 超劇場版ケロロ軍曹 誕生！究極ケロロ 奇跡の時空島であります!! in 2010.

Although Keroro Gunso has parodied and referenced Mobile Suit Gundam since its early anime days, this marks the first official collaboration between the two, more than 22 years after the anime began airing.

Action Scene: Gundam Appears to Help Keroro in a Crisis

The newly revealed film clip shows the Keroro Platoon facing a mysterious invader in an intense action scene. Just when they are cornered and nearly out of hope, the figure Sergeant Keroro has long admired unexpectedly appears: Gundam. However, before they can relax, a new enemy named Shaazak blocks their path in a red machine, leaving viewers to wonder whether Keroro and Gundam can work together to overcome the crisis.

In addition to the film clip, special collaboration illustrations drawn exclusively for the project have been revealed by two famous artists:

• Mine Yoshizaki, creator of Keroro Gunso, drew an illustration that interprets the Mobile Suit Gundam movie trilogy through Keroro’s eyes.
• Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, character designer for Mobile Suit Gundam, drew a spectacular illustration featuring Amuro Ray, Char Aznable, and Keroro standing shoulder to shoulder.

Both illustrations are true collector’s items for fans of both franchises.

Collaboration Plastic Models: Keroro Mk-II and Keroro-Spec Gundam Mk-II

To celebrate this historic collaboration, two special plastic models have been announced:

• ケロロ軍曹プラモコレクション ケロロロボMk-II (ティターンズカラー) — Keroro Robo Mk-II in Titans colors, priced at 2,200 yen (tax included), releasing on June 26, 2026.
• RG 1/144 RX-178 ガンダムMk-II (ケロロ仕様) — Keroro-spec Gundam Mk-II in RG 1/144 scale, available exclusively through the Premium Bandai Hobby Online Shop. Further details will be announced later.

Theater Merchandise

Starting June 26, 2026, most theaters showing the film will begin selling merchandise such as pamphlets and stickers for fans to collect.
