During Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct, Shueisha Games officially announced Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton. The game is being developed by poncle, the studio known for Vampire Survivors, and combines a similar style of gameplay with the world of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Game Details and Platforms
The game is described as a survivor royale action title supporting 1 to 8 players. It is scheduled for release in 2026 on the following platforms:
- Nintendo Switch 2
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
- PC via Steam
Gameplay Systems
Players can choose from more than 20 characters from the series, each with their own abilities and Domain Expansion. In each match, players compete to hunt cursed spirits and earn points. The game also features Rule Additions inspired by the “Culling Game” arc, along with skills that are randomized each round, giving every run a different flow.
About Jujutsu Kaisen
The original manga by Gege Akutami began serialization in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump in March 2018 and ended in September 2024. Viz Media releases the manga digitally and in print in the United States, while Shueisha also publishes it through the MANGA Plus service.
Anime Series and Films
The first TV anime season premiered in October 2020 with 24 episodes. It was followed by the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 film, which opened in Japan in December 2021 and screened in the United States and Canada with English subtitles and an English dub in March 2022.
Season 2 began airing in July 2023 on MBS, TBS, and affiliated channels. Crunchyroll streamed the season as it aired in Japan, including an English dub, and the season ran for half a year.
Most recently, Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3: The Culling Game Part 1 debuted with a one-hour special containing its first two episodes on January 8 in MBS and TBS’ “Super Animeism TURBO” block. Crunchyroll streams the series worldwide outside Asia. The first part’s final episode aired as a 27-minute special on March 26.
