The TV anime Ghost in the Shell, based on Masamune Shirow’s original manga, has officially announced that its ending theme will be “Blue” by MILLENNIUM PARADE. The fourth promotional video has also been released.
4th PV and the Song “Blue”
The new PV is designed to reflect the inner worlds of the characters, especially protagonist Motoko Kusanagi, a full-body cyborg.
“Blue” features guest artists Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar in addition to MILLENNIUM PARADE. The song began about three years ago when Daiki Tsuneta of MILLENNIUM PARADE and Saya Gray entered the studio together. Daniel Caesar later joined the project, bringing the track to completion.
Daiki Tsuneta: This “Blue” began when Saya and I entered the studio together three years ago. Later, Danny, whom we met while traveling, joined us and the song was completed. The musicianship of these two artists I respect is outstanding, and the full version turned out even better than expected. I cannot wait for everyone to hear it.
Saya Gray: Working with Daniel and Daiki was fun and exciting. It was thrilling to see different worlds and cultures meet.
Anime Expo 2026
The anime will participate in Anime Expo 2026, held in Los Angeles from July 2-5, 2026 local time. The event will feature the U.S. premiere of episodes 1 and 2, a production staff talk show, and an autograph session with director Mokochan and character designer / chief animation director Shuhei Handa.
Broadcast Schedule
Ghost in the Shell will air on Kansai TV and Fuji TV’s Kayou Anival!! programming block every Tuesday at 23:00 starting July 7, 2026. It will also stream on Prime Video. Voice cast details have not yet been announced.
