เคนชิโร่และเรย์ร่วมรบในアニメ Fist of the North Star ตอนที่ 12

Episode 12 of the new anime series Fist of the North Star (北斗の拳 -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-), titled “Men Who Saw Tears” (涙をみた男たち), has set social platform X ablaze with fan reactions. The episode delivered what viewers had been waiting for since the series began: Kenshiro of the Hokuto (North Star) school and Rei of the Nanto (South Star) school fighting side by side for the very first time.

Kenshiro Being Kenshiro — “Bomb-da!”

The episode opens with Kenshiro locating a Fang Clan (牙一族) sentry and striking his pressure point, coolly warning him that moving will be fatal before walking away. The henchman, of course, ignores the warning and gives chase — only to explode before he can catch up. Fans flooded timelines with “Bomb-da!” (ボンだ) and comments like “Kenshiro has absolutely zero mercy for villains and I love it.” Some older fans also posted tributes to the late voice actor Gōri Daisuke, who voiced the role in the classic Toei Animation version, saying they could still hear echoes of his iconic screams.

The Hokuto-Nanto Alliance Fans Had Been Waiting For

When Kenshiro finds Rei calmly standing alone against a horde of Fang Clan soldiers, the two quickly discover a shared weakness — neither can ignore a woman’s tears — and join forces. Kenshiro’s aside about the wolves being “rather talkative” (and his use of the polite suffix “-san” for them) drew laughs, with fans noting “putting ‘Mr.’ in front of wolves is weirdly adorable.”

Once the two fight together, the Fang Clan is wiped out in moments. Fans reacted with “facing both Hokuto AND Nanto at the same time — that’s just tragic (lol)” and “wait, is this actually the first time Kenshiro has ever fought alongside someone?” The finishing sequence — Kenshiro landing the Hokuto Senshū Kaiken and the villain collapsing with a garbled cry of “Awabiyuu!”, followed by Rei’s deadpan “Then die now” — became an instant highlight, with fans quoting both lines gleefully across their timelines.

Rey’s Secret and the Famous Meme Scene

After the battle, Rei reveals why he is hunting “the man with seven scars on his chest”: that man killed his parents and abducted his beloved younger sister Airi on the eve of her wedding. Viewers who know that Kenshiro himself bears those seven scars had fun posting “the guy you’re looking for is standing right in front of you!” Kenshiro tests Rei directly by asking what he would do if Kenshiro’s own chest bore seven scars. Rei’s eyes flash with hatred for a moment — then he dismisses it as a bad joke, having read the purity in Kenshiro’s gaze. Fans praised Rei’s perceptiveness: “He really knows how to read people.”

The episode then delivers the scene that has long been a famous — and often memed — moment in the franchise. When village leader Mamiya declares she has “abandoned her womanhood,” Rei tears her clothing and tells her, “If you’re not a woman, you have no reason to cover your chest,” adding, “A woman should think only of her own happiness.” The scene is rooted in Rei’s guilt over failing to protect Airi, and while it sparked plenty of discussion, fans were also charmed by the tender follow-up scene of the siblings sharing a piece of chocolate.

“It Ended Too Soon!” — Next Week: Rei Meets Airi

The episode closes on a gut-punch cliffhanger: Rei spots Airi — the sister he has been desperately searching for — standing before him in heartbreaking circumstances, and the credits roll immediately. Fans erupted with “You can’t end it THERE!” and “Right at the good part… end.” Episode 13 will bring the full reunion between Rei and Airi, and viewers are already bracing themselves.
