A special advance screening event for TV anime 自称悪役令嬢な婚約者の観察記録。 (Jisho Aku — The Observation Record of a Self-Proclaimed Villainess Fiancée) was held on June 14 at TRUNK BY SHOTO GALLERY in Tokyo. The event, officially titled “Bartia-sama wo Mederu Kai Presents: Jisho Aku Anime Episodes 11 & 12 Advance Screening in Chapel,” brought together voice actors Kobayashi Yusuke (Cecil), Tomita Miyu (Bartia), and Miyamoto Yume (Hironia), along with director Yamamoto Junichi.
A Real Wedding Chapel as the Venue
The event was held in a venue that functions as an actual wedding chapel, lending the occasion an extra layer of elegance. Around 80 lucky fans — selected through a highly competitive lottery — attended the screening. The entrance hall was decorated with newly drawn life-size panels of Bartia, Cecil, and Hironia, colorful balloon art, and classical music, while welcome drinks were served to guests. Many fans arrived dressed up in formal attire in the spirit of the fictional “Society for Adoring Bartia-sama.”
The cast and director made a memorable entrance, arriving at the venue by white limousine before walking a red carpet to enthusiastic applause. Kobayashi led the way in a suit, followed by Tomita in a vibrant yellow dress, Miyamoto in a soft pink dress, and director Yamamoto in formal wear. The four lined up at the foot of the staircase, where Kobayashi delivered a welcome address on behalf of the group.
“World’s Fastest” Screening of Episodes 11 and 12
The group then moved to the chapel on the upper floor, where a screen and speakers had been set up near the altar. Audience members watched from the pews in a setting unlike any typical anime screening. After the “world’s fastest” showing of episodes 11 and 12, the event transitioned into a talk show segment.
Talk Show Highlights
Kobayashi served as MC for the talk portion, drawing out stories from his co-stars and director while sharing his own anecdotes. The four looked back on the journey from the anime’s announcement roughly a year ago, discussing their first impressions of the series, favorite scenes, and their feelings about the final episodes. The atmosphere was warm and lively throughout.
Director Yamamoto’s behind-the-scenes stories proved particularly captivating, accompanied by rare production materials displayed on screen — including a video storyboard (V-conte) of the opening sequence that is rarely seen publicly. Both fans and the voice cast reacted with audible amazement.
Bouquet Toss Closes the Event
In a fitting nod to the chapel setting, the event concluded with a bouquet toss by Miyamoto, Kobayashi, and Tomita. Three lucky fans caught the bouquets, and the event wrapped up in a joyful, celebratory atmosphere.
Broadcast Schedule and Message to Viewers
Episode 11, screened at the event, aired on June 15. The finale, episode 12, is scheduled to air on June 22. Kobayashi left a message for viewers:
“Cecil (and Zeno) working so hard to make Tia’s wishes come true is so reassuring! I hope everyone watches over them warmly and enjoys the happy ending. And I’d be thrilled if you could support us so that a continuation can happen.”
