The 「プリパラスペシャルイベント『ときをこえてみ~んなでレッツ!プリパライブ★』~アイドルタイムプリパラ&アイドルランドプリパラ~」 (PriPara Special Event: Toki wo Koete Min’na de Let’s! PriPara Live★ — Idol Time PriPara & Idol Land PriPara) was held on June 20 at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo. Below is a report on the afternoon performance.
A Live Inside Farara’s Dream
The event centered on characters and songs from Idol Time PriPara onward. The female cast included Ochi Yo (Nino Nijiiro), Yamada Yuuna (Michiru Kouta), Saiga Mitsuki (Hibiki Murasakikyouin), Sato Azusa (Farara A. Larm), Asahina Maruka (Shuka Hanazono), and Iida Riho (Amari Koda). On the male side, Yamashita Seiichiro, Kobayashi Tatsuyuki, and Tsuchida Reo appeared as WITH; Kawai Kentaro and Usawa Shotaro as DARK NIGHTMARE; and Tachibana Ryumaru as Mario.
As the opening chime rang, a video played showing Farara — the “spirit of daytime” — receiving a letter and gift from Gaara, the “spirit of nighttime.” The doors to Idol Land then swung open, and Farara led Nino, Michiru, Shuka, and Amari into the Idol Time PriPara opening theme 「Just be yourself」. Farara declared the day’s live to be a dream of her own with 「チクタク・Magicaる・アイドルタイム!」, after which the idols treated fans to a rare selection of arcade-game solo tracks: 「StarLight★HeartBeat」, 「カオティックハリケーン」, 「Step! Step! Step!」, and 「サマーナイトEvolution!」.
The Boys Turn Up the Heat
The male idols then took the stage. WITH, making a long-awaited return to live performance, triggered screams the instant the intro to 「好きにしてI-I-Z-E」 played. DARK NIGHTMARE fired up the crowd with shouts of “You can do way more than that!” before delivering an emotional 「We’re never ever」, while Hibiki showcased his effortlessly refined voice in 「嘘つきはTomorrowの始まり」.
Mario descended into the audience during 「チョコレートアイスクリーム・トルネード」, taunting fans up close with “Don’t think you can take it easy!!” and “Keep those voices coming!!” sending the hall into a frenzy. A joint MC segment with all four acts on stage also delighted fans with some spirited back-and-forth between Hibiki and Mario.
Surprise Remix Medley and Amari’s Return
An unannounced Remix Medley saw each female idol perform a rearranged version of her signature song. 「GOスト♭コースター(Y&Co. Dance. Mix)」 amplified Michiru’s mysterious aura; 「あっちゃこっちゃゲーム(DJ BOSS SEB Remix)」 was peppered with video-game sounds for a poppier feel; 「Miss.プリオネア(DELACTION Remix)」 transformed the venue into a disco as Shuka waved her fan; and Hibiki’s 「純・アモーレ・愛(Y&Co. Eurobeat Remix)」 surprised fans with a full Eurobeat makeover that still retained every ounce of his trademark elegance.
With Yui absent from the day’s event, Shuka stepped in for 「ハートフル♡ドリーム」, and the lyrics were tweaked to swap Yui’s favorite food “rice” for Shuka’s favorite “French fries” in a special one-off version.
The moment that drew the biggest reaction, however, was the duo number 「究極合神アマリオン ―破滅と創造の狂想曲―」 (Ultimate Fusion Amarion — Rhapsody of Destruction and Creation) performed by Amari and Mario. Amari appeared alone on stage and found herself in a pinch, prompting Mario to walk out and say, “Long time no see.” When Amari snapped “I never asked for your help!”, Mario muttered, “Not cute at all… no wait, very cute.” The two began singing without making eye contact, gradually opening up to each other until they stood side by side in harmony at the finale. As the audience applauded the emotional reunion, Mario quietly patted Amari on the shoulder and left the stage, while Amari whispered a soft “Thank you.”
A Warm Finale
The closing stretch featured DARK NIGHTMARE’s 「Raiding Warriors」 — notable for the contrast between powerful vocals and delicate choreography — and WITH’s crowd-unifying 「Giraギャラティック・タイトロープ」. Hibiki debuted the arcade track 「Shooting STAR」 for the first time live, before Farara’s 「サンシャイン・ベル」 signaled the dream was drawing to a close, with all idols joining on stage for a final chorus.
During the closing remarks, Tachibana Ryumaru (Mario) welcomed back Iida Riho with “Rippie, welcome back!” — her first live appearance in roughly a year and a half. Yamashita of WITH admitted he had been nervous but thanked fans, saying “A live only becomes complete with your cheers.” Sato Azusa, who usually doubles as Fuwari Midorino, said she was glad to spend so much time purely as Farara alongside everyone.
Yamada Yuuna (Michiru) reflected on 2017 when Idol Time PriPara began, saying, “I’m truly happy that we can keep holding lives for this precious series. I hope we can share moments like this again, and I hope to stand on stage at MY☆DREAM once more.”
The show closed with 「ワクワクO’clock」, with Nino, Michiru, and Shuka leading the first verse and WITH taking the second, complete with special ad-libs and interactions unique to this lineup. After the familiar end credits rolled, a final message from Farara read: “Today is a secret — just between you and me.”
An archive stream of the performance is available until July 5.
