The theatrical anime film Chō Gekijōban Keroro Gunsō — the first entry in the Keroro Gunsō film series, based on the original manga by Mine Yoshizaki — is now available to stream for free on TVer from today, June 21, through June 28 only.
About the Film
Originally released in 2006, the film follows Keroro, an alien who arrived on Earth with the mission of conquering it — a mission he has completely forgotten about. One day, while out shopping for Gunpla model kits with his human friend Fuyuki, the two stumble upon a mysterious shrine on their way home.
After wandering inside, Keroro accidentally shatters a strange jar he finds within the shrine. Starting the very next day, a series of bizarre incidents begins to unfold across town, setting the stage for a brand-new crisis for Keroro and his friends to face.
New Film Hits Theaters Nationwide on June 26
The limited TVer run comes just ahead of the franchise’s latest theatrical installment, Shin Gekijōban☆Keroro Gunsō: Fukkatsu Shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki であります!, which is set to open in cinemas across Japan on June 26. It’s the perfect opportunity for fans to revisit the very beginning of the film series before the new chapter arrives.
