A brand-new illustration drawn by Hoshino Lily — the original character designer of Mawaru Penguindrum (輪るピングドラム) — has been revealed to celebrate the series’ 15th anniversary.
About Mawaru Penguindrum
The TV anime first aired in July 2011 as an original work by director Ikuhara Kunihiko, best known for Revolutionary Girl Utena. The story follows siblings Kanba, Shoma, and Himari Takakura alongside high-school student Ringo Oginome as they unravel the mystery surrounding the “Penguindrum.” Hoshino Lily served as the original character designer for the series.
15th Anniversary Plans
As part of the anniversary campaign, all 24 episodes of the TV anime will be streamed for free on YouTube in four batches, beginning 17 July 2026. Each batch will open with a Premiere broadcast on its first day.

A theatrical re-screening of the compilation films RE:cycle of the PENGUINDRUM — both Part 1 and Part 2 — has also been announced. Further details on the re-screenings and additional anniversary activities will be shared at a later date via the official website and official X account.
