Kadokawa announced on Monday that Enma Akiyama‘s manga Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi. (Noa Is My Senior, and My Friend.) is receiving a television anime adaptation. The announcement came alongside a teaser visual and the reveal of the core production staff.
Story
The manga follows Rihito Ōtsuka, a laid-back employee at a game company whose personal motto is to conserve energy at all costs, and Noa Saotome, his senior colleague and art director. Noa is the picture of a capable career woman — deeply trusted by her superiors and admired by those below her. Everything changes when Rihito accidentally stumbles upon a secret side of Noa that she keeps carefully hidden, setting off an after-work “friends only” relationship between the two.

About the Manga
Akiyama launched Noa-senpai wa Tomodachi. in Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine in 2023. The manga’s 11th compiled volume is scheduled for release on July 17.
Akiyama previously created Killer in Love (Kimi ni Koisuru Satsujinki), which ran on Shogakukan’s Manga ONE and Ura Sunday platforms from January 2021 until its conclusion in 2022. Comikey currently publishes the series digitally in English.
