The production team behind the upcoming television anime adaptation of Muchimaro‘s four-panel manga Seitokai ni mo Ana wa Aru! (Even the Student Council Has Its Holes!) has revealed two additional cast members, along with character promotional videos and character visuals, on July 11 and 18 respectively.

Previously announced, Shōgo Sakata stars as the protagonist Mizunoe Ume, a student who joins the student council hoping to solve his academic troubles, only to find himself surrounded by an eccentric and chaotic group of fellow members.
Story
Mizunoe Ume joined the student council simply to avoid repeating a grade — it seemed like the easy way out of his academic woes. What he didn’t count on was a council full of weirdos: an airhead, someone intimidating, a secret pervert, and more. Despite their quirks, they’re oddly endearing, and Ume finds himself swept up in all the delightful chaos they bring.

Premiere & Manga Details
The anime is set to premiere in October.
Muchimaro launched the manga in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2022. The 12th compiled volume shipped on March 17. Seven Seas will release the first English volume on September 8, and the series is also available digitally via K MANGA.
The manga won the print category of the 9th Next Manga Awards (Tsugi ni Kuru Manga Taishō) in 2023, and received an animated promotional ad in July 2024.
