The production team behind the TV anime Shin Tennis no Ojisama U-17 WORLD CUP Kessho Member Kettei-sen, based on the manga by Konomi Takeshi, has unveiled the third teaser visual alongside several major announcements, including a new cast member and both theme songs.
Third Teaser Visual & Theme Songs
The latest teaser visual spotlights Atobe Keigo and Oshitari Yuushi — former teammates at Hyotei Gakuen — now facing each other in a fierce internal battle for a spot on Japan’s U-17 national squad.
The theme songs were also officially revealed:
- Opening theme: “Walls And Bridges” performed by the four-member unit Aozu, consisting of Echizen Ryoma, Tezuka Kunimitsu, Oishi Shuichiro, and Fuji Syusuke
- Ending theme: “金環蝕 phenomenal” performed by Atobe Keigo & Oshitari Yuushi
Shirota Yu as Romeo Fernandez
Actor Shirota Yu has been cast as Romeo Fernandez, a member of the Spanish national team, marking his first appearance in the Tennis no Ojisama anime franchise. Shirota previously played Tezuka Kunimitsu in the long-running stage musical adaptation of the series, and notably has a Spanish mother — making the casting a particularly fitting one.
“I previously had the honour of playing Tezuka Kunimitsu in the musical, and this time I’m joining the anime for the first time as Romeo Fernandez. I will give everything I have to convey the appeal of this character and the passion of the Spanish team through my voice — please look forward to it.”
