A Sequel Built on an Unlikely Partnership
The new series is a direct sequel to Tokyo Salad Bowl, continuing the story of its mismatched central duo: Koda Mari, a free-spirited and unconventional female police officer, and Arikino Ryo, a former officer who now works as a police interpreter. Their contrasting personalities and skill sets form the core dynamic of the series.
Story
The sequel kicks off when Lina, a young woman visiting from Hong Kong, stumbles upon the scene of a murder at the apartment building where she is staying. Koda and Arikino are soon dispatched to investigate, drawing them into a web of international crime.
Throughout the series, the pair confronts the harsh realities faced by foreign nationals who have fallen through the cracks of Japanese society, as well as criminal organizations operating covertly within the country.
