Japanese graphic apparel brand graniph has announced a collaboration with the estate of Mizuki Shigeru — the pioneering yokai manga artist behind Gegege no Kitaro — releasing a special collection of 19 items on July 28, 2026.

2026 marks the 11th anniversary of Mizuki Shigeru’s passing. The celebrated manga artist and yokai researcher left an indelible mark on Japanese comics history, and this collection pays tribute to his legacy by drawing on beloved characters from Gegege no Kitaro — including Kitaro, Medama-oyaji (Eyeball Dad), Nezumi-otoko (Ratman), Ittan-momen, and Nurikabe — as well as characters and iconic scenes from the original work, Hakaba Kitaro. graniph’s signature design sensibility brings Mizuki’s eerie yet charming yokai world to life across apparel and accessories.
