The hit short anime series Ginga Tokkyuu Milky☆Subway (銀河特急 ミルキー☆サブウェイ) is making its fashion debut through a first-ever collaboration with BEAMS MANGART. The collection goes on sale Friday, July 31, 2026.
About Ginga Tokkyuu Milky☆Subway
Affectionately nicknamed “Mil-Sub” (ミルサブ) by fans, this 12-episode short anime was created almost single-handedly by director Kameyama over the course of two years. It began broadcasting and streaming in July 2025, immediately generating an enormous response. Set aboard a runaway space train, the series won audiences over with its retro-tinged sci-fi visuals, naturally flowing dialogue, and music direction that feels perfectly in sync with every scene.
Even after its broadcast run ended, the buzz has refused to die down — the official YouTube channel has surpassed a staggering 250 million total views, and numerous public figures across various fields have openly declared themselves fans on social media and radio programs, cementing Milky☆Subway as one of the defining anime phenomena of 2025.
From February 2026, a theatrical re-edit featuring new scenes — Ginga Tokkyuu Milky☆Subway: Kakueki Teisha Gekijou-yuki — has also been playing in cinemas.
The BEAMS MANGART Collaboration
The collection comprises five pieces in total: three T-shirts, one hoodie, and one tote bag. BEAMS MANGART has translated the anime’s distinctive world into wearable form through the brand’s own creative lens, drawing not only on the series’ memorable characters and visual motifs but also on specific lines of dialogue, props, and setting details — the kind of Easter eggs that will make dedicated fans do a double-take.
