The light novel series Tenkō-saki no Seiso Karen na Bishōjo ga, Mukashi Danshi to Omotte Issho ni Asonda Osananajimi Datta Ken — known by the shorthand Tenbin and streaming in English as Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her — has reached its conclusion. The 11th and final volume, written by Yu Hibari with illustrations by Siso, shipped on July 31.
Story
The youth romantic comedy follows Hayato, who transfers to a city high school and unexpectedly reunites with Haruki — a childhood friend he remembers as a boy he used to play with seven years ago. To his surprise, Hayato quickly discovers that Haruki is actually a girl.
Publication History
Hibari originally began serializing the story on the user-generated fiction site Shōsetsuka ni Narō in 2020, posting the final epilogue there on July 31 as well. Kadokawa picked up the series for a print light novel run with Siso’s illustrations starting in 2021. A manga adaptation by Ōyama also launched in 2021 on Comic Walker, hosted under Kadokawa’s “Dora Dora Flat” portal.
Anime Still Ongoing
A television anime adaptation premiered on July 6 and is currently airing. Crunchyroll is streaming the series internationally under the title Oh Boy, Was I Wrong About Her.
