The official website for the Magilumiere Magical Girls Inc. television anime — based on the manga Kabushikigaisha Magilumière by Sekka Iwata and Yū Aoki — announced a new cast member for its second season on Sunday.
New Cast
Yusuke Shirai joins the season as Shō Manao, described as a mysterious yet gentle man with no known past or history.

Staff
Riki Fukushima (Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle, Skate-Leading Stars) steps in as the new director at J.C.STAFF, with Michiko Yokote (Prison School, RIN-NE) serving as the new series script supervisor. Masahiro Fujii returns as character designer and Makoto Miyazaki returns to compose the music.
New additions to the crew include assistant director Hiroyasu Oda (Delico’s Nursery; episode director on Honey Lemon Soda), sound director Yoshikazu Iwanami (Ajin, Ghost in the Shell Arise), art director Shun Yoshii (2.5 Dimensional Seduction; One-Punch Man Season 3), CG director Shunsuke Kasuga (Honey Lemon Soda), and editor Yūji Kondō (Fate/strange Fake, Sword Art Online: Alicization). First-season episode color coordinator Asuka Hino has been promoted to color key artist, and Yūsuke Noguchi, who handled compositing and cinematography on Season 1 episodes, has been elevated to compositing director of photography.
Theme Songs
The opening theme, “Latte Magic,” is performed by syudou × Yūsei Yagi (FANTASTICS). VTuber Marine Houshou performs the ending theme, “BooooM!!!”
Broadcast & Manga
Season 2 premiered on NTV on July 4 at 24:55 JST (effectively July 5 at 12:55 a.m.). The first season aired in Japan from October to December 2024, with Amazon Prime Video streaming it globally.
Iwata and Aoki launched the manga on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform in October 2021. The series concluded with its 160th chapter in July 2025, and the 18th and final compiled volume ships on September 4. Viz Media and MANGA Plus publish the manga in English.
