What Is DanDaDan?
DanDaDan is an occult action and coming-of-age manga by Ryū Koshinobe, serialized in Shonen Jump+. The story follows Momo (Ayase Momo), a high-school girl born into a family of spirit mediums, and her classmate Okarun (Takakura Ken), a devoted occult enthusiast. After a fateful encounter with overwhelming supernatural phenomena, the two gain hidden powers and cursed abilities — and find themselves entangled in a destined romance while battling all manner of bizarre entities.
The anime’s first season began airing in October 2024. Season 2 launched on July 3, 2025, in the “Super Animeism TURBO” timeslot across MBS/TBS and 28 affiliated stations. In a major announcement, the season finale confirmed that Season 3 is already in production.

Turbo Baba is a modern yokai who once rampaged unpredictably across Japan. She has since left a portion of her power within Okarun’s body, while her consciousness now resides inside a lucky cat figurine, from which she continues to move about.
