TV anime Blue Lock has announced its first-ever collaboration with the popular mobile RPG Monster Strike. The collab event kicks off on Sunday, August 16, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. JST and runs through Wednesday, September 2, 2026 at 11:59 a.m. JST.
About Blue Lock
Blue Lock is a soccer manga written by Kaneshiro Muneyuki and illustrated by Nomura Yusuke, serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Shonen Magazine. The story centers on the “Blue Lock” project — an initiative by the Japan Football Union to forge the world’s greatest striker and lead the national team to a World Cup title. Three hundred high school forwards from across the country are thrown together in a brutal survival competition where only the most ego-driven player will emerge victorious.
Its unconventional premise, explosive characters, and unpredictable storytelling have made it a landmark title in sports manga both in Japan and internationally. Beyond the TV anime that began airing in 2022, the franchise has expanded into a theatrical anime film in 2024, a mobile game, a stage production, and a live-action film that opened on August 7, 2026. A new TV anime series is also confirmed to be in production.
