To mark the 25th anniversary of the hit manga BLACK LAGOON, a special POP UP SHOP event titled “BLACK LAGOON 25th ANNIVERSARY ~地球で一番おっかない女の上位三人~ POP UP SHOP” — roughly translating to “The Top Three Scariest Women on Earth” — has been announced. The event will tour five venues across Japan, kicking off in Akihabara, Tokyo in September 2026.
About BLACK LAGOON
BLACK LAGOON is a manga by Hiroe Rei (広江礼威) that first appeared as a one-shot in the April 2001 issue of Sunday GX, before launching as a full serialization in 2002. Set in the crime-ridden city of Roanapur, the series follows a cast of outlaws in a stylish, hard-boiled world of gun action. The manga was adapted into an anime by Madhouse under the direction of Katabuchi Sunao, and the series has surpassed a cumulative 10 million copies in print. 2026 marks its 25th anniversary.
