A new series of the TV anime Fate/strange Fake has officially been greenlit. The announcement was made during the “Fate/strange Fake Panel Stage” at Anime NYC 2026, North America’s largest anime convention, held in New York City. Alongside the announcement, a teaser PV and a new teaser visual were unveiled.
Background
The first season of Fate/strange Fake aired from January to March 2026, spanning 13 episodes. The story centers on an irregular “false Holy Grail War” unfolding in the American city of Snowfield, where Masters (mages) and Servants (heroic spirits) battle one another for the Holy Grail — a relic said to grant any wish. After the final episode, a teaser visual depicting Saber and company facing a massive storm was released alongside a new commercial bearing the words “to be continued.”, stoking fan anticipation ever since.

The teaser visual for the new series shows the figures of Ayaka, Saber, and Sigma appearing to shatter and intermingle — hinting at the trials and chaos that await the characters in the upcoming installment.

Several months have passed since the teaser visual of Saber and the others facing the giant storm was revealed. In this new key visual and PV, the portraits of Ayaka, Saber, and Sigma shatter and blend together. What kind of trouble will they be drawn into, how will they be broken — and how will they still piece each other’s fragments together as they walk through the false Holy Grail War? Even I, as the original author, find myself thinking, “How on earth are they going to animate this!?” But I’m looking forward to watching the story that the staff weaves, as one reader among many. I hope all of you will look forward to it too!
