The TV anime Berserk of Gluttony Season 2 has officially been confirmed to air in 2027. Alongside the announcement, a comment video featuring Oosaka Ryota — the voice of protagonist Fate — has been made public.
Recording Already Underway, Says Oosaka Ryota
In the video, Oosaka reveals that voice recording (afureko) has already begun for the new season. He notes that, much like Season 1, there are plenty of exchanges between Fate and Greed, voiced by Seki Tomokazu.
Oosaka spoke candidly about the recording atmosphere:
“Seki-san throws in quite a lot of improvisation, so I end up improvising in response. Whether any of it actually makes it into the final cut or gets completely removed — I won’t know until I see the finished product, and that’s what makes it exciting.”
He closed with an enthusiastic message for fans:
“Everyone on the cast is working together in a warm, lively atmosphere, giving it everything we’ve got. Please look forward to the broadcast!”

Berserk of Gluttony is based on the dark fantasy light novel series by Isshiki Ichirin. Set in a world where a person’s worth is determined entirely by their skills, protagonist Fate is looked down upon for possessing what seems to be a useless ability — simply feeling hungry. However, it is soon revealed that his Gluttony skill actually allows him to steal the skills and abilities of those he defeats, setting the stage for his dramatic rise from the bottom.
The first season of the TV anime aired in 2023. Season 2 is now scheduled for 2027.
