About Detective Conan
Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan) is based on the manga by Gosho Aoyama, serialised in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994. The story follows high-school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is shrunk into a child’s body after being forced to swallow a mysterious poison by a shadowy organisation. Adopting the alias Edogawa Conan, he continues solving cases alongside his friends while hunting for the truth about the organisation. The manga has surpassed 107 volumes and 270 million copies in worldwide circulation. The TV anime, which launched in 1996, will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026.
Latest Film: Highway no Datenshi
The 29th theatrical entry, Detective Conan: Highway no Datenshi, opened on 10 April 2026 and is set against the backdrop of Yokohama. The action-packed film features characters including Chihaya Hagiwara, Masumi Sera, Jugo Yokomizo, Kenji Hagiwara, and Jinpei Matsuda. It has already surpassed ¥13.6 billion at the box office.
Yokohama Special Show — Every Ticket Sold Out
The “Conan Dasshutsu” series — a collaboration between Real Escape Game and Detective Conan — first launched in 2013 and has since been experienced by a cumulative total of more than 2.6 million participants. Players are drawn into an in-universe incident and must work alongside Conan and friends to crack the case.
The Yokohama special run took place over three days, 21–23 August 2026, at Osanbashi Hall — a location featured in the latest film. Every session sold out, with fans packing the venue.
Highlight: Exclusive Voice-Over Shuttle Bus
One of the event’s standout features was a shuttle bus departing from near Sakuragichō Station, fitted with exclusive recorded voices from Conan and the gang. As passengers rode to the venue, they could take in Yokohama scenery straight out of the film while being fully immersed in the world of Detective Conan before even setting foot in the hall.
All attendees also received a limited-edition event shopper bag featuring the special show’s key visual, along with event-exclusive merchandise and bonus items.
Solving Mysteries — Then Meeting Conan and Ran in Person
Inside the hall, teams tackled a series of puzzles in a race to solve the case. Whether they succeeded or fell just short, the ending was met with a wave of applause and cheers from the entire audience. After the game concluded, Conan and Ran appeared in person, delivering a special greeting before seeing participants off at the exit.
