Fashion brand MAYLA — known for its tagline “raises your body temperature by 2°C” — has unveiled a new collection of thick-sole loafer sneakers tied to the hit anime Kimetsu no Yaiba (Demon Slayer). Dubbed the Kimetsu no Yaiba Iconic Shoes Objet Loafer Sneaker, the footwear is now available for pre-order in six character variants.
Design Inspired by Nichirin Sword Guards
The standout feature of each pair is a metal hardware accent modelled after the tsuba (hand guard) of each character’s Nichirin sword. Rendered in an antique-gold finish with intricate detailing, the ornaments evoke a sense of classical Japanese beauty and refined elegance. Even the insoles carry a hidden touch — each is printed with a pattern symbolic of its respective character, rewarding those who look closely.

About Kimetsu no Yaiba
Kimetsu no Yaiba is based on the manga by Gotouge Koyoharu, published by Shueisha under the Jump Comics label across 23 volumes with a cumulative print run exceeding 220 million copies. The story follows Kamado Tanjiro, a boy whose family is slaughtered by demons, as he joins the Demon Slayer Corps in a bid to restore his demon-turned sister Nezuko to human form.
Animated by ufotable, the series launched in April 2019. The latest theatrical entry, Kimetsu no Yaiba: Mugen-jo Hen — Chapter 1: Akaza Raikou — the first part of a planned trilogy — screened for 266 days from 18 July 2025, drawing 27.45 million admissions and grossing approximately ¥40.2 billion. That places it second on Japan’s all-time domestic box-office chart, behind only Mugen Ressha-hen. The Blu-ray and DVD release followed on 29 July.
