On September 9, the team behind the tactical hunting action game Attack on Titan 3 (進撃の巨人３) revealed the key visual for the title’s opening anime, which is being produced by studio MAPPA. The newly drawn illustration depicts Eren standing with his back turned, while Mikasa, Armin, and Levi face forward in a defiant stance — a composition that neatly reflects the game’s scope covering the entire Attack on Titan story from beginning to end.
The reveal was timed to coincide with the franchise’s 17th anniversary. September 9 has also been officially designated as “Attack on Titan Day.”
About Attack on Titan 3
Described as the definitive series entry, Attack on Titan 3 lets players experience the full narrative arc of the franchise. Players join the Survey Corps and fight alongside beloved anime characters from the very first scene through to the story’s climax. The game introduces battles against all Nine Titans for the first time in the series, alongside new story content.
The Omni-Directional Mobility Gear system has been refined to deliver the most fluid and stylish action in the series. A dedicated “Expedition Beyond the Walls” mode allows players to recruit Survey Corps soldiers with varied abilities, form their own squad, and venture into the Titan-infested world outside the walls.

Attack on Titan 3 is scheduled for release on December 10, 2026, on PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. The Xbox Series X|S and Steam versions will be digital-only.
