The official website for the second season of The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World (Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu) began streaming the anime’s main promotional video on Thursday, while also revealing a wave of new and returning voice cast members. The trailer previews the opening theme song “Diamond Dust” performed by Sizuk. Maaya Uchida will perform the ending theme “Compression :[“.
New and Returning Cast
The newly announced cast members are as follows:
- Sōichirō Hoshi as Lucas Forst (returning)
- Haruka Shiraishi as Lizelotte Eden (returning)
- Ryōhei Kimura as Julius Orphe (new)
- Aoi Koga as Bianca Miller (new)
- Konomi Kohara as Emma Clarke (new)
Returning from the first season in their original roles are Junya Enoki (Ray White), Iori Saeki (Amelia Ros), Akira Sekine (Ariane Olgren), Azumi Waki (Rebecca Bradley), Kaede Hondo (Clarisse Cleveland), Yūichirō Umehara (Evi Armstrong), Kōhei Amasaki (Albert Allium), and Atsumi Tanezaki (Stella White).
Miyu Kubota will take over the role of Elisa Griffith from Nana Harumura, who retired from voice acting in January due to health reasons. Hana Hishikawa joins the cast as Olivia Arnold.
Staff and Studio Changes
Masahiro Takata returns as director, and is also overseeing series scripts and serving as sound director. Notably, the animation studio has changed from Cloud Hearts, which handled Season 1, to Zero-G. Scriptwriters include returning contributor Tomoko Shinozuka and newcomer Takahito Ōnishi (Whisper Me a Love Song, My Happy Marriage). Mariko Kawamoto (Magica Wars) steps in as the new character designer, replacing Makoto Shimojima.

About the Franchise
The first season of the anime premiered in January 2023, with Crunchyroll streaming it both subtitled and with an English dub. The series is based on Nana Mikoshiba‘s light novel, which originated as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō in October 2019 before being published in print by Kodansha from July 2020, with illustrations by Riko Korie.
Norihito Sasaki‘s manga adaptation ran in Magazine Pocket from June 2020 until January 2024, concluding with its 16th volume in April 2024. Kodansha USA Publishing has licensed the manga for English release. A sequel manga, Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II, illustrated by Nao Kagami with composition by Ishiya Ōgane, launched on Niconico Manga under Kodansha’s “Suiyōbi no Sirius” label on May 27.
