The production team behind Keroro Gunsō ☆, the all-new Sgt. Frog television anime, released the series’ second main trailer on Monday, unveiling the show’s theme songs and announcing five additional cast members.
Theme Songs
The trailer previews the opening theme “Kirai nochi Suki!” (From Hate to Love!), performed by ano, and the ending theme “Himitsu no Panorama” (Secret Panorama), performed by PURPLE BUBBLE.
Newly Announced Cast
The five newly revealed cast members portray the human characters of the series:
- Yuki Sakakihara as Fuyuki Hinata
- Minori Fujidera as Natsumi Hinata
- Sumire Morohoshi as Momoka Nishizawa
- Hiiro Ishibashi as Mutsumi Hōjō
- Koko Fukushima as Koyuki Azumaya
Previously Announced Cast
The alien platoon’s voice cast was announced earlier:
- Makoto Koichi as Sergeant Keroro
- Rika Nagae as Private Second Class Tamama
- Toshiki Masuda as Corporal Giroro
- Satoshi Inomata as Lance Corporal Dororo
- Kōsuke Echigoya as Sergeant Major Kululu
The new series features an entirely fresh cast, unlike the recent theatrical film Shin Gekijōban ☆ Keroro Gunsō Fukkatsu Shite Sokkō Chikyū Metsubō no Kiki de Arimasu!, which opened in Japan on June 26 with the returning cast from previous installments. That film debuted at #4 at the box office, earning 150,809,200 yen (approximately US$927,900) in its opening weekend.

Premiere & Background
Keroro Gunsō ☆ premieres on October 3 at 9:30 a.m. on TV Tokyo and its affiliated stations.
The original Sgt. Frog anime, produced by Sunrise and based on Mine Yoshizaki‘s manga, ran from 2004 to 2011 for 358 episodes and spawned five theatrical films. Crunchyroll added the original series to its catalog in 2021. In North America, Discotek has been releasing all 358 episodes on SD Blu-ray by season since 2021, with seasons 5–7 arriving in 2024.
