About the Show
「ももクロchant！」is a variety programme dedicated to uncovering remarkable Japanese things — innovations, traditions, and ideas — that have yet to reach mainstream awareness, or that could shape the future. Each episode sees the members of Momoiro Clover Z venture into a new subject alongside expert guests.
Episode 2: Inside the World of Manga
Yoshida Naoki, one of the founders of the prestigious Manga Taisho award, joins Momoiro Clover Z member Tamai Shiori for a visit to the Yonezawa Yoshihiro Memorial Library / Modern Manga Library (現代マンガ図書館), located on the campus of Meiji University in Tokyo.
The pair are joined by Professor Ito Yu, a specially appointed professor at the International Manga Research Center of Kyoto Seika University, who explains how Japanese manga came to be embraced overseas and outlines the key differences between Japanese manga and comics from other countries.
