The classic anime series Microid S (ミクロイドS), based on the manga by legendary creator Tezuka Osamu, is set to receive its first-ever Blu-ray release on December 23, courtesy of publisher Best Field. The set is priced at ¥30,800 (tax included).
What’s Included
The Blu-ray box will contain all 26 episodes of the series in a newly remastered transfer. Video bonus features include a new-program promotional preview and an alternate-version video of the ending theme “Yanma da Ageha da Mamezo da.” A booklet with series notes will also be enclosed in the package.
About the Series
Microid S originally aired from April 7 to October 6, 1973. The story follows three young warriors — Yanma, Ageha, and Mamezo — each possessing the powers of an insect, as they wage a secret microscopic battle to stop the villainous Gidron from annihilating humanity.
