The TV anime Shio Taio no Sato-san ga Ore ni dake Amai (Sato-san, Who’s Cold to Everyone, Is Sweet Only to Me) has confirmed a premiere date of October 6, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the production released a second key visual, opening and ending theme details, and a main promotional video.

Story

Based on the light novel by Saruwatari Kazami (published by Shogakukan under the Gagaga Bunko imprint) with original character designs by Achiki, the series is a youth romantic comedy about a mutual first love. Café worker Oshio Sota gradually grows closer to his coworker Sato Koharu — nicknamed “cold Sato-san” by those around her — after he realizes she is simply shy and awkward rather than genuinely unfriendly. The second key visual captures the two leaning against each other bathed in warm magic-hour light.

Opening and Ending Themes

The opening theme, “Sugar Salt” (シュガーソルト), is performed by Oishi Masayoshi. The ending theme, “Hatsukoi Reply” (初恋リプライ), is by HoneyWorks feat. Hoshikawa Sara. The main PV showcases new animation cuts set to “Sugar Salt” at a lively tempo.

On September 27, 2026 at 20:00 JST, a pre-broadcast special will stream live on the SHOCHIKU anime YouTube channel. Cast members Ishibashi Haruki (Sota), Ito Miku (Koharu), and Tomita Miyu (Rinka) will appear to introduce the characters and the series.
