To mark the 30th anniversary of the Detective Conan (名探偵コナン) TV anime, a permanent themed restaurant called the Detective Conan Diner (名探偵コナンダイナー) will open at Shibuya Stream — a commercial complex directly connected to Shibuya Station in Tokyo — on the 4th floor during winter 2026. Ahead of the grand opening, the full menu lineup has been unveiled.
About Detective Conan
Created by Gosho Aoyama and serialised in Weekly Shonen Sunday since 1994, Detective Conan follows high-school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is shrunk into a child’s body by a mysterious organisation and solves cases under the alias Conan Edogawa. Volume 108 of the manga was released in April 2026. The TV anime, which began airing in 1996, has surpassed 1,100 episodes. The 29th theatrical film, Highway’s Fallen Angel (ハイウェイの堕天使), opened on 10 April 2026 and is already outpacing its predecessor, Detective Conan: Flashback (隻眼の残像), at the box office.
Atmosphere
The diner takes the form of a modern British classic diner, featuring warm brick-style décor and a sophisticated atmosphere. Characters including Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri, Shinichi Kudo, and Ai Haibara will greet guests dressed in sleek detective-style uniforms.
Food Menu
- [Conan Edogawa] “Ikkeeee!” Demi Burg Rice — A hamburger steak rice dish with a cheese ball styled as a soccer ball. Cutting into it releases melted cheese sauce that blends with the demi-glace. ¥1,890.
- [Ran Mouri] ~Crimson School Trip~ Kyoto-Style Cream Hamburg — Inspired by the “Crimson School Trip” arc, finished with white miso and deep-fried yuba. A card styled as Ran’s mobile phone displays one of three random messages. ¥1,790.
- [Shinichi Kudo] ~A Troublesome Case~ Menchi Katsu — Inspired by the “Holmes’s Revelation” arc, this minced-meat cutlet is topped with a soft-boiled egg in the style of a British Scotch egg, served with ketchup sauce and mashed potato. ¥1,890.
- You’re a Great Detective! Soccer Ball Plate — An exclusive kids’ menu (elementary school age and under) featuring hamburger steak, omelette, and fries hidden inside a soccer ball, plus a mystery-puzzle paper placemat. ¥1,390.
Dessert Menu
- Detective Conan Diner Parfait — A parfait in Conan’s signature blue (jelly) and red (strawberry) colour scheme, topped with a marshmallow shaped like the Bowtie Voice Changer. ¥1,690.
- Detective Items Mini Parfait — Combines a printed monaka wafer and a vanilla ice cream topped with an edible film, served with panna cotta and peach and strawberry sauces. One of three detective gadget designs — the Criminal-Tracking Glasses, Tranquiliser Watch, or Power-Enhancing Kick Shoes — is provided at random. ¥990.
Drink Menu
The Diner Drink series features seven character-themed beverages:
- Conan Edogawa — Two-layer lemon soda and red jelly, topped with espuma cream and blue sugar crystals. ¥1,090.
- Ran Mouri — Two-layer strawberry sauce and strawberry milk drink.
- Shinichi Kudo — Citrus-based lemonade milk drink.
- Ai Haibara — Blueberry and Kyoho grape drink with grape jelly.
- Shuichi Akai — Two-layer cola and cherry syrup with red jelly.
- Toru Amuro — Two-layer passion fruit soda and mango jelly.
- Kaito Kid — Two-layer yoghurt soda and blue jelly.
All drinks are also available without espuma cream for ¥990.
Souvenirs
The diner will sell a set of seven tea spoons <DINER UNIFORM vol.1> at ¥1,210 each, and a <DETECTIVE CONAN DINER> plate for ¥4,950 (all prices tax-inclusive).
