The TV anime Futsutsuka na Akujo de wa Gozaimasu ga: Hinomiya Chōso Torikae-den has officially announced that its second cour will air in January 2027. The announcement comes alongside a newly drawn main visual and the reveal of three additional cast members.

A Series with Over 5 Million Copies in Circulation

The franchise is based on a light novel by Satsuki Nakamura with illustrations by Yukiya, published under Ichijinsha Novels. A manga adaptation by Ei Ohitsujii runs in Monthly Comic ZERO-SUM. The series has surpassed 5 million copies in total circulation.

The novel won the light novel category at the “Seymour Minna ga Erabu 2023 Digital Comic Awards” and ranked first in the women’s light novel category of the “BookLive Annual Ranking 2023.” The manga received nominations at the Magademy Awards 2023 and won recognition at the Rakuten Kobo eBook Awards 2024 in the notable comics category.

New Main Visual and Character Visuals

To mark the second-cour announcement, character designer Ai Kikuchi has drawn a new main visual designed to be symmetrical with the first cour’s visual. It features central characters Reirin, Huiyue, Lili, and Dongxue, alongside three new characters making their debut in the second cour: Kou Keikō, Kou Keishō, and Unran. The composition hints at a story that ventures beyond the walls of Hinomiya Palace.

Character visuals for the new figures — who first appeared in Episode 11 — have also been released.

Chiaki Kobayashi (Unran)

I’m taking on the role of Unran. He is regarded as the next leader of a village in the southern territory ofOnso, yet he is a mysterious figure who operates in the shadows with some hidden purpose. Even so, there is an extraordinary resolve hidden behind his eyes. Please look forward to seeing what feelings he carries as he becomes involved with Zhu Huiyue and Kou Reirin — I will pour everything into expressing the way Unran lives.

First Cour Soundtrack Now Streaming

An Original Soundtrack featuring music from the first cour will be available on major music streaming platforms from September 21, 2026. It’s the perfect way to revisit the first cour while waiting for the second.
