The TV anime Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II (The Ice Blade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World II) has confirmed that voice actors Aoki Shiki and Okitsu Kazuyuki will reprise their respective roles as Maria = Bradley and Marius = Bassett from the first season. Both actors have shared comments ahead of the series’ October premiere.

Character Profiles

Maria = Bradley is the younger sister of Rebecca, the student council president of Arnold Magic Academy. While she admires her older sister deeply, she also harbors a strong inferiority complex toward her. Maria has fallen for Lily = White, who once saved her life — unaware that “Lily” is actually Ray in disguise.

Marius = Bassett is one of the Seven Great Magicians, known by the title “Phosphorescent Sorcerer.” He previously served as a homeroom teacher for Lydia and her classmates at Arnold Magic Academy, and continues to watch over the younger generation of sorcerers with a warm and gentle disposition.

“I’m Aoki Shiki, back again as Maria = Bradley for Season 2. In the first season, Maria had a lot of serious scenes — especially everything involving her sister Rebecca. But this time around… I had so much fun and felt a real sense of freshness at every single recording session! I think fans will get to see a lot of new sides of Maria they’ve never seen before, so I really hope everyone enjoys it.”

Season 1 Marathon Streams

To help viewers catch up before Season 2 begins, ABEMA and Niconico Live will both host full-season marathon streams of the first anime. Story

Hyōken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu follows Ray = White, a young man hailed as the world’s greatest sorcerer under the title “Ice Blade Sorcerer,” as he enrolls in the elite Arnold Magic Academy as a commoner and confronts a conspiracy targeting sorcerers. In Season 2, Ray — having found both companions and a place to belong — enters the Magicus War, a large-scale magical battle fought by three-person teams.
