The official 30th anniversary key visual for Kidou Shinseiki Gundam X (機動新世紀ガンダムX) has been unveiled as part of the series’ ongoing anniversary celebrations.
The reveal was timed to coincide with September 25, the date of this year’s Mid-Autumn Full Moon (中秋の名月) — a deliberate nod to the moon, one of the most iconic motifs associated with the series.
The illustration is a brand-new, specially commissioned piece created by two key members of the original production team: Masayoshi Nishimura (西村誠芳), the series’ character designer, and Junya Ishigaki (石垣純哉), its mechanical designer. The two collaborated to produce the artwork exclusively for this milestone.
The 30th anniversary project for Gundam X is currently ongoing, with this key visual marking one of its latest highlights. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for further announcements as the celebrations continue.
