The official website for Detective Conan (名探偵コナン) has released the synopsis and advance scene cuts for episode 1214, titled “Crimson Final Curtain (Day 1)” (茜色の千秋楽・初日). The episode is scheduled to air on Saturday, 26 September 2026, from 18:00 to 18:30 JST on Yomiuri TV and the Nippon TV network nationwide.
About the Series
Detective Conan is a mystery manga by Gosho Aoyama, serialised in Weekly Shonen Sunday (Shogakukan) since 1994. The story follows high-school detective Shinichi Kudo, who is shrunk into a child’s body by a shadowy organisation and continues solving cases under the alias Conan Edogawa. Volume 109 of the manga is due out on Friday, 16 October 2026.
The TV anime has been on air since 1996 — over 25 years — and has surpassed 1,100 episodes. 2026 also marks the series’ 30th anniversary. Episode 1214 is the first instalment of the three-part arc “Crimson Final Curtain”, adapted from volume 106 of the manga.
Episode 1214 Synopsis
Conan and his friends travel to the Naniwa Arts Theatre in Osaka to watch a stage play modelled on Kogoro and Heiji. After the performance, during a backstage visit, Heiji learns that the observation floor of Naniwa Harukas offers a breathtaking sunset view — a perfect spot for a confession. He immediately resolves to take Kazuha there and finally tell her how he feels.
However, a dark shadow hangs over the theatre. Ever since the death of director Kabumoto — once known as the “Puppet Devil” — everyone connected to him has suffered a string of misfortunes. As if following the same curse, a series of murders now begins. With time running out, Conan and Chihaya race to rescue Dr. Agasa!
